Alexis on Biddy Healey's Debut Album — Salt River Bed

I remember hearing Biddy Healey for the first time at Shapeshifter Lab in Brooklyn and being enchanted with the nuances of her voice. It wrapped me immediately, and took you to another time and place. I was so honored and thrilled when Biddy called me to record her debut album, Salt River Bed, especially when I saw the musicians on the terrific band that she assembled for the project. It was a joy to contribute to her vision. I can’t wait for this music to be released!

As she describes it: Salt River Bed is original ECO-FUTURIST ART POP that tells an intimate story of ecological crisis. Sounds like: Arvo Pärt, Björk, Jobim, Rickie Lee Jones, and Suzanne Vega. Recorded in Brooklyn, New York, with: Sara Caswell (violin), Benni Von Gutzheit (viola), Susan Mandel (cello), Nadje Noordhuis (trumpet/flugel), Chris Stover (trombone), Martha Kato (piano), Alexis Cuadrado (bass), Chris Stromquist (drums/percussion).
